Central City NeighborhoodFor 170 years, Central City has been home to the many immigrant and working class populations of New Orleans history German, Irish, Italian, Jewish, and now African American residents. According to Census 2000 (the most recent available data) there were 8,147 households in Central City. However, recent demolitions of C.J.
